Resigned from Baby Loves Disco

Owing to personal circumstances and the fact we are leaving Hong Kong I am no longer host mummy. I am sure Coco will continue to provide Hong Kong with fun baby entertainment, and I hope everyone continues to party with Baby Loves Disco.

A bit about Amanda

Hi,

I figured that for my first post I should probably introduce myself a bit to you. I moved to Hong Kong 2 years ago from the UK where I am a GP. I have 1 daughter who is now 1, and she takes up most of my time. Coco and I are very lucky as we have a great Mums and Babies group which is how we met, and trying to spend time as a group has brought all of us closer together and also meant the husbands get to meet as well.

As far as Baby loves disco goes, owing to the language barrier at the moment I have to admit Coco has had to do more, so my week has been spent on the more mundane chores of looking at fine print on flyers and considering potential sponsors.

I am really looking forward to the disco more for me than for my daughter. I find that the only places with cheesy music since leaving the UK are when I go back for weddings, it just isn't as fashionable here as there are so many different groups together.

The countdown is now really on, so hope to meet all the readers at the first event on the 8th.

Only 2 weeks left!

It has been a hectic week, finalising the flyers, tickets, websites, magicians, DJ, the list goes on and on. The fun part is testing the different cocktails which we have designed for the babies and children: Baby Mary, Cosmopolitot, Tequila Kid are the few we have at the moment.

It's hard to believe that the first event is only 2 weeks away, which is both scary and exciting at the same time.

I am also trying Nana hard at home (admittedly, only through watching the finals of American Idol!), and hoping that she manages some boogie moves on the 8th! Am also looking for a Donna Summers outfit for her so that she will be the total disco diva!!
